Hi Everybody,
So my news tonight is short and (mostly) sweet. The good news: Maria gets to go home on Tuesday! Woo hoo! Still a long road ahead, but she can do it as an outpatient, and sleep in her own bed at night and breath the healing sea air of Edmonds, finally! The bad news is that she has a bacterial infection, which is making her really sick, but they have her on some antibiotics and hopefully she will be feeling better soon.
That's all for now! I am headed up to Seattle tomorrow so I will post again when I have more info. Thanks!

oh rita, i'm so happy for you! I heard my dad stopped by with a special mixture for you to try. You'll have to tell me if it worked out or not. I keep calling but always missing you, i'm trying to call during your lunch break so you can chat while you don't have a bunch of visitors but i keep missing you. So, i'm going to start calling in the evening i guess. I hope you hangin in there and doing well kid! i love you!
Hey Maria...coming home to Edmonds next week...that's fantastic! It started raining today, and leaves are turning, so fall is here. Edmonds is waiting for you with crisp salt air. I hope you get over that nasty infection soon. Sending you love...Chris
Oh this is great news, Ree. Sorry about the infection. The antibiotics should do the trick and getting out of the hospital will keep that kind of junk away.
Can't wait to hear how your outpatient rehab will be set up. Did they get your back/neck brace adjusted yet?
Let's talk about beds, too.
Love.

Maria, you do not know me but I know both Abby and Carly (two wonderful women) and Carly told me about your accident and the blog site so I wanted to write you a quick note and tell you that I think you are a remarkable person. To be healing the way you are from such a terrible accident is truly amazing. You are an inspiration. Hang in there and know that there a lot of people (family, friends and friends of family and friends) wishing the best for you and having you in their prayers. Best of luck to you. Debbi Yates
