Wednesday, August 30th - Morning Update
Good Morning Everyone,
Just a quick update on Ree's night last night - her big news was that she climbed out of bed, fell down, and climbed back into bed all by herself before the nurses came in. While in a way that makes us laugh because it is so typical of that girl to be so mischievous, it is also pretty scary as she easily could have hurt herself. Also a bummer for her as she will learn that lesson the hard way because they will have to strap her back to the bed now - at least at night - which will not make her happy. That's about it for now - Barb and Dave are meeting with the hospital care manager this morning, so I will try to update when/if they have a plan for getting Maria back to Seattle. At this point, Barb is thinking there's no rush as we are liking the doctors, nurses, staff, etc., and there's really no point in moving other than that Maria is getting antsy. . .

Hi. My name is Alysa Abercrombie and I went to high school with maria and sang with her in choir. Just say my last name and she will remember me. I just got the news about the horrible accident and I am so so sorry. Please tell Maria that I am thinking and praying for her and for all of the family. Get well soon maria. Be the flight that we all know you are :)
Haha! I shouldn't laugh Ree- but have some patience!!! You are so fiesty and I know thats part of the reason you are doing so well but you better be careful climbing out of beds! You make me laugh. I miss you pudin, hang in there!!!
I'm glad you didn't hurt yourself. If you're going to be mischevious maria be more careful.
Hi- This is Kat Knarr. I go to Post with Maria. Please let Maria know I'm thinking of her and so is everyone else in the company! Much Love - Ill keep writing
OK Maria, this is your Godmother speaking, so you better listen. Enough already with the getting out of bed without help. I would sprinkle some fairy dust to make all of this go faster, but Tinkerbell, I ain't.
So, grab some fabulous books on tape. Here's an idea;get the tapes that teach a lot of foreign languages. By the end of rehab you will have mastered a bunch of accents, thereby landing some fabulous roles in the next few years.
Love you kiddo, but whoa

Maria,
It's wonderful to know that you are healing so quickly. I read all these updates to Marie Lapano yesterday. I think she enjoyed the falling out of bed episode the most. What were you thinkin'? Glass of water? Late night snack?
Thinking of you.

Hi There,
I came to the site as soon as I heard. I'm not sure if Maria remembers me, but I wrote a scene specifically for her to perform in at WSU. She was fantastic. The name of the scene was, "The Most Dramatic Scene Ever Written," if that helps job her memory, but I she was wonderful.
I just wanted to wish Maria a speeding recovery and let her know that ever though I haven't seen her for about 3 years, I will not sooon forget her.
Lots of love,
Ted Tremper
